I’ve always had issues controlling my cravings for bad foods, but in my 20s and 30s in had such a high metabolism that it didn’t seem to matter what I ate. Back then I could….

eat when and what I wanted and still be slim
Have tons of energy to keep up with my kids
stay in shape with working out much
Feel great about myself wearing my swimsuit on the beach

That was all great until I hit my 40s.

After 40 I started packing on the pounds quickly

I tried my best to cut back on unhealthy food and exercise more but my cravings seemed to always get the best of me. Plus after the grandkids were born it was Sunday dinners every week and tons of food and baking. It was getting more and more difficult.

Then my health start taking a turn. I seemed to be tired all the time even after a full night’s sleep. I didn’t realize how bad things have gotten.

That is until my husband and I were visiting the in-laws cabin one week. I saw in their bathroom that they had a scale. I decided to step on it, because it had been a long time since I checked my weight…

That was a moment I realized something had to change. I kept thinking about it that entire trip at the cabin. When we left that Sunday I made a decision.

The first thing I did was start jogging every morning. But from the weight gain it felt hard on my knees and back.
